I have applied to hundreds of jobs and received hundreds of rejections. The advice came in many directions. Most people told me to take my Master’s Degree off of my resume. They said it would increase my chances. I could not do it. I am proud that I went to school and my resume is a way to showcase my skills and accomplishments. I also could not do it, because I blog on a public space, it would be nearly impossible for me to ever lie on a job search. That is something I frown upon because it is unethical and goes against my values. It could be the reason why I have been rejected from hundreds of jobs, but at least it saves me the embarrassment that Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson faced; he fluffed his degrees and when he was found out, he resigned
Save yourself the embarrassment, hassle, and possible rejection from your industry; do not embellish your resume. In my opinion, it is not worth it.
